Summer 2026 Round Up
Summer 2026 was full on, and we’re not just talking about the heatwaves! We’ve had a super busy season, with guests from all over the world - including a new market of guests from the UAE who kept us on our toes with 10pm private haircut requests, midnight pedicures and last minute kids parties (within 12 hours)!
Some of this summer’s more unusual requests were to book a private jet with bitcoin (that was a first for us!) - along with another last minute jet request, because someone got a flat tyre on a country road and was scared to drive in the UK again! I mean, if it's an option, why not? We’ve organised some exceptional classic car experiences around the country roads in this glorious weather, and even hosted a proposal and two weddings!
We’ve had a record number of last minute reservations, including several rental bookings for private estates complete with pools and full staff with only 24 hours before arrival, a request for a laser light show with three hours notice (this may have been the first time we’ve ever had to politely decline a guest request), and were asked to find solar eclipse glasses with approximately seven minutes notice!
Some other challenges we faced was to deliver a seven course tasting menu with wine pairings during a power cut (it was quite literally a 'candlelit dinner'!) and sourcing enough AC to keep everyone cool this summer - which FYI, we managed to do!
One of the reasons we love what we do is that we get to meet people from all different backgrounds all over the globe, some of whom have very particular requirements, and our challenge is to meet and exceed their expectations every step of the way.
Summer 2026 has been so much fun, the team have loved creating lasting memories for all our clients, and are thrilled to receive so much positive feedback from everyone. But now it's time for the HB team to take a little breather (and catch up on all the admin we put off over the last few months, such fun!), before we officially ramp up for the festive season.
